About the AI Core team
The AI Core team is a central pillar of our engineering organization. Our mission is to empower dLocal’s engineers to build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered solutions with speed and quality. We create the platforms, tools, and best practices that enable product teams to leverage the full potential of AI, providing efficiency in automations for our operation and also enabling our product teams to improve our solutions faster.
The Role
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our AI Core team. This is a unique role for someone who is passionate about building products for developers and is an avid AI enthusiast. You will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the tools and platforms that will accelerate the adoption of AI across dLocal.
Inspired by the principles of engineer-led product development, this role is perfect for someone with a strong technical background who wants to have a direct impact on the productivity and innovation of our engineering teams. You will work closely with our top engineers to identify their needs, prioritize features, and deliver solutions that they love to use.

What will I be doing?

    • Product Strategy: Co-create and align the AI Core team’s product vision, strategy, and roadmap with overall company goals, working closely with engineering
    • Developer-First Mindset: You will collaborate closely with our AI engineering team, serving as the customer’s advocate. Since your customers are developers, your engineering team will interact directly with them, gathering insights to inform the roadmap and backlog. This will require a deep understanding of their workflows, challenges, and needs.
    • Technical Roadmap: co-create the product backlog with the engineering team, prioritize features, and write clear and concise product specifications.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other engineering and product teams to ensure the successful delivery and adoption of your products.
    • AI Evangelist: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and identify opportunities to apply them to solve real-world problems at dLocal.
    • Measure Success: Define and analyze metrics to measure the impact and success of the AI Core team’s products
    • Leverage AI: Actively use AI tools in your day-to-day work to improve your own productivity and to better understand the needs of your users.

What skills do I need?

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a must

Product Management at Cohere: 

Our team is responsible for driving the direction of Cohere’s technology to the world through our interfaces. We’ve released generative models like Command A, Retrieval models like Embed 4 and Rerank 3.5, and products such as North and Compass. At Cohere, PMs work on the core models, APIs, and end-to-end products that serve our enterprises and developers.

We view the role that PMs play at Cohere to be “full-stack” in the sense that you will work with cross-functional stakeholders at every step of the way when training and evaluating the models, delivering product, ensuring successful GTM and customer happiness. 

About The Search and Embeddings Role

One of the most exciting applications for generative AI is in its use in Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agents – Search and Embeddings plays a critical role in ensuring that LLMs have the correct context in order to answer the user needs. The focus of this PM will not only be on the role that search plays in RAG/Agents but also in traditional search. The expectation is that you have experience with working on Search products and Embedding / Cross-Encoder models. 

The Search and Embedding PM manages the following models and products:

  1. Embeddings (Embed-v4.0)

  2. Rerank (Rerank-v3.5) 

  3. Compass (Cohere’s Search Solution) 

  4. Evaluation of Search performance across all products and models

In this role, you will: 

  • Define strategic priorities and roadmap for improving retrieval model performance, focusing on enterprise needs and emerging capabilities. 

  • Use data and customer engagements to better understand user needs and guide future product and model development.

  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including teams in product, finance, go-to-market, engineering, and marketing.

  • Drive product strategy and monetization through a deep understanding of the increasingly dynamic and competitive AI Landscape. 

  • Read lots of papers and collaborate with ML on ensuring our models remain SOTA

In order to be successful in this role, you have:

  • At least 4+ years of product management experience, understanding customer needs, and launching successful products.

  • At least 1+ years of working on search products and embedding/reranking models.

  • Obtained a Bachelor’s or postgrad degree in CS, ML or related field, or a background in machine learning, algorithms, large scale systems, and statistics.

  • Have proven experience working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams to drive product vision, define requirements, and guide the team through key milestones.

  • Showcase strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with proven communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

    • Craft client code that is not just efficient, but also performant, testable, scalable, secure, and of the highest quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of Linux, networking, virtualization tools.
    • Experience in engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end SoC/ASIC development.
  • Front-end standard cell ASIC development including RTL development, Design Verification, synthesis, and post-silicon validation. 
  • Cross-functional collaboration and partnering with internal and external cross-functional teams, across all levels of the corporation. 
  • Define, implement, debug, and deliver system solutions around purpose-built ASICs. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Track record of first-pass success in ASIC and Systems.
  • Experience with multiple clock designs and asynchronous interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 15+ years’ post-college experience with silicon development. 
  • 15+ years’ post-college experience in digital design with one or more HDL language (System Verilog, Verilog, VHDL).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in networking hardware design, proven expertise in 50G, 100G, 400G Ethernet MAC/PCS protocols, TCP/IP, RDMA/RoCE, IPSec.
  • 5 + years’ post-college experience in one or more scripting language (TCL, Python, Perl).
  • Understanding of Standard Cell ASIC development flow including digital design, IP integration, simulation and synthesis. 
  • B.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.

 

Location: This role fully supports remote work for employees residing within the United States, with the flexibility to travel to our Chesterbrook Corporate Center located in Wayne, PA occasionally for in-person collaboration.

Binnie is looking for an Engineer to join our Water & Wastewater Division which provides design and project management services specializing in sanitary, water and storm drainage collection, distribution, and transmission systems, facilities, pump stations, and other utility appurtenances.

 

You are gaining local experience and relationships with key clients delivering the design and construction of utility infrastructure.  You are looking to take on a leading role with securing and delivering your own projects where you may take the role of both design engineer and manager depending on the scope and scale of the works.  You enjoy leading the design and production process as well as interfacing directly with clients.  You may prepare and review design calculations, provide technical support to Senior Project Managers and inspection staff through the project delivery life cycle, from proposal, to design through construction and handover.

About the Role:
